Florida Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology is Meeting to Discuss Rules Changes

FLASHA was instrumental in assisting to develop proposed changes to the rules governing On-the-Job Training and Supervision Requirements of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology Assistants


This Friday, at 3:00 pm, the Florida Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology will hold a special meeting via telephone conference call to address proposed rule changes to the Florida Administrative Code pertaining to supervision and on-the-job training for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants. 


FLASHA has been instrumental in developing these proposed guidelines and we welcome all licensed SLPs, AUDs, SLPAs and AUDAs to participate in the upcoming meeting. This is a prime example of your dues dollars at work, fighting to protect and enhance the profession for all Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology professionals.

These rules are in the Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.) as follows: 

  • 64B20-4.003 On-the-Job Training, Role and Observation of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Assistants
  • 64B20-4.004 Supervision of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants and Audiology Assistants
